Skin biopsy

Skin biopsies are an important tool for diagnosis of certain skin conditions. It is a simple technique where a small sample of lesional skin is obtained under local anaesthesia for examination under a microscope. Excisional, incisional, and punch biopsies are commonly done for diagnostic and prognostic purpose.
